YilaMed
About · About

An AI-native clinic management system, built for Singapore's TCM practices.

YilaMed is an AI-native clinic management platform built for traditional Chinese medicine clinics in Singapore. We start from how TCM is actually practised — consultation, pattern differentiation, prescription, treatment, follow-up — and rebuild the EMR, clinic operations, and AI assistance around that work.

Our story · 01

A clinic management system that genuinely understands TCM, redesigned from the ground up

YilaMed is a TCM clinic management platform built in Singapore by YiLa Technology Pte Ltd.

Our goal is not simply to move a traditional clinic system online. It is to redesign — from the real workflow of TCM practice — a digital system that fits practitioners, clinic teams, and the medical AI of the years to come.

TCM clinics work differently from Western general practice. Consultations rely more on dialogue. Records emphasise the four diagnostics (inspection, listening, questioning, palpation) and the logic of pattern differentiation. Prescription flows must handle granules, raw herbs, prepared medicines, acupuncture, tuina, and other service formats.

So from day one YilaMed has not been about adding a few TCM fields to a Western system. It is a complete clinic management system rebuilt around the day-to-day operations, clinical records, prescription management, scheduling, billing, and AI assistance that a TCM clinic actually needs.

Why · 02

Why we are building YilaMed

In Singapore, many TCM clinics have served their communities for years and built up significant clinical depth and patient trust.

But on the software side, TCM clinics have rarely been treated as a first-class user.

Most existing clinic systems are designed for Western GPs or general medical institutions. For a TCM practitioner, the common frustrations are:

  1. 01Record structures that don't fit TCM consultation, tongue, pulse, or pattern reasoning;
  2. 02Prescription flows that can't cleanly distinguish granules, raw herbs, prepared medicines, and treatment items;
  3. 03Operational data scattered across screens, leaving clinic owners without a clear view of the business;
  4. 04Complex interfaces that take practitioners and front-desk staff a long time to adapt to;
  5. 05AI capabilities that don't fit naturally into the existing workflow.

We believe TCM clinics shouldn't be left behind by digitalisation and AI just because their tools fell behind.

A good system should let practitioners spend more time with patients — not with the screen, and not with repetitive data entry.

Manifesto · 03

TCM is a discipline that depends heavily on dialogue, observation, and integrated judgement.

A single consultation can include the chief complaint, present illness, past history, lifestyle, tongue and pulse signs, emotional state, response to medication, and more. In the past, much of this had to be reconstructed from memory after the visit, and many key details simply never made it into the record.

AI-native · 04

AI-native — not just a chatbot bolted on

YilaMed is designed AI-native so the system can help with this work directly:

  1. 01Turn the doctor-patient conversation into a structured EMR draft;
  2. 02Help the practitioner extract chief complaint, present illness, tongue and pulse, and the key symptoms;
  3. 03Support the work of pattern differentiation in a way that respects classical TCM logic;
  4. 04Let clinic owners query operational data in natural language;
  5. 05Improve the efficiency of records, follow-ups, and return-visit management — always under doctor confirmation.

Inside YilaMed, AI is not a replacement for the clinician. It is an assistant for the clinician and the clinic team.

Final judgement, prescriptions, and treatment decisions remain with the qualified practitioner.

Beliefs · 05

What we believe

Understand TCM first, then design the system.

What a TCM clinic needs is not generic software, but a system that understands how TCM actually works.

From consultation, pattern differentiation, and prescription through to treatment items, follow-ups, and patient relationships — every step should fit the real clinical scene, not force the practitioner to adapt to the software.

Serve the clinical encounter first; efficiency second.

Efficiency matters. But the first principle of a medical system is not "faster" — it is "more accurate, clearer, safer."

YilaMed aims to reduce repetitive work, raise the quality of records, and streamline operations, while protecting the most important thing in TCM practice: the conversation between two human beings.

AI must be controllable, explainable, and confirmable.

Medical AI cannot make decisions on the doctor's behalf. Inside YilaMed, AI output should be a suggestion, a draft, or supporting analysis — never the final answer.

Practitioners always retain the right to review, edit, and confirm. That is the most important boundary in our design of AI clinical assistance.

Compliance is long-term work, not a marketing slogan.

YilaMed is built for the Singapore healthcare context. We take data security, clinic compliance, medical record management, and integration with the local healthcare ecosystem seriously.

For initiatives like SmartCMS Gold Tier, NEHR, CHAS, and Singpass, we move at the pace of real progress and clearly distinguish what is "completed" from what is still "under construction."

Products · 06

What we are building

YiLa Technology Pte Ltd is currently building three product lines focused on the digitalisation of TCM clinics:

YilaCMS

The clinic management system for TCM practices — appointments, patient records, EMR, prescriptions, billing, operations, and AI assistance.

YilaCare

The patient-facing platform, designed for the patient side and for future online medical service scenarios.

Clinical AI Agent

An AI assistant for the TCM clinical encounter — record cleanup, extraction of consultation information, support for pattern differentiation, and reference treatment plans.

Facts · 07

The facts

What we have already done
  • YiLa Technology Pte Ltd has been incorporated in Singapore
  • YilaMed has been designed and built around the realities of TCM clinic management
  • Product design is informed continuously by feedback from practising TCM doctors
  • A complete TCM EMR structure — covering the four diagnostics, tongue, pulse, and pattern-differentiation fields
  • Prescription and treatment-item management that distinguishes granules, raw herbs, prepared medicines, acupuncture, and tuina
  • AI-assisted consultation capture and structured-record generation.
What we are working on next
  • Operational data analysis with natural-language querying
  • Preparation for SmartCMS Gold Tier
  • Step-by-step integration with Singapore's healthcare ecosystem — NEHR, CHAS, Singpass, and beyond.

The kind of company we want to be

We hope YilaMed is not merely a clinic system that "works," but the long-term infrastructure that grows alongside Singapore's TCM clinics.

It should be simple enough that front-desk staff and practitioners want to use it every day.

It should be professional enough to carry TCM clinical records, clinic operations, compliance work, and AI assistance.

Most importantly, it should respect the way TCM is practised — not bend TCM to fit a software structure that doesn't suit it.

Our goal is plain:

to make digital transformation easier for TCM clinics,

to let practitioners stay focused on their patients,

and to give traditional medicine better tools in the AI era.
